Caitlyn Peters
Now practicing law as an Associate Attorney, Cascade City native Caitlyn Peters was essentially raised at Hartwell & Briggs, where she previously worked as a runner, receptionist, and legal assistant before going to law school. In her current role at the law firm, Caitlyn assists clients in matters involving personal injury lawsuits and workers’ compensation claims. “I love being able to make a difference in someone’s life. To know that I can make a difficult time easier on someone is rewarding,” she says. “Words cannot express how grateful I am to be here today and to have the opportunity to help those in difficult situations.”
Lucas Jones
Lucas Jones joined Hartwell & Briggs in August 2013 and became a Managing Partner in January of 2020. The workers compensation and personal injury lawyer has a degree in Business Law from Washington State University. The attorney at law earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington, and was the judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge Thomas A. Russo of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit. Lucas is a member of the Washington State Association for Justice Board of Governors and the Injured Workers Advocates of Cascade City.
Steve Briggs
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Steve moved to Cascade City when he was 7 years old. After attending Southside Jr. High School and graduating from West Cascade High School in 1992, where he served as Student Body President, Steve pursued higher education at the University of Washington, getting his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1996 and his law degree in 2000. He then practiced law in Columbia for two years before returning to Cascade City in 2002 to join forces with Jacqueline Hartwell as a Founding Partner at Hartwell & Briggs.
Jacqueline Hartwell
Jacqueline Hartwell is a Washington State attorney with a heart for people and a passion for justice. A Founding Partner at Hartwell & Briggs Law Group in Cascade City, she represents individuals in Personal Injury, Car Accident Claims, Employment Law, and Civil Mediation cases—clients who are often facing some of the hardest moments of their lives.
